Help With IRC

I accentlly closed the byobu irc window I have had open since I joined, So obviously I had to reopen it. I use irssi as when I type the "chat" command it opens a blank weechat page that I can't join any servers or channls from. 
so anyway I try to register my nick, using both /msg NickServ IDENTIFY eliwatson password, /NickServ IDENTIFY password, and all other variations I could think of. Evreytime it eather dose nothing or says I have the wrong password. I am sure I have the right passowrd but none the less is there a way to fix what I am describing or reset my password. Any obvious thing I am doing wrong? I enjoy chatting on irc and would like to get back to doing it as soon as I can.

I think the server got moved to irc.newnet.net

So I have to reregister? Thanks Ill try that.
