Yo, I've decided to make a bbj about your ps1's (bash_prompt's) and PC specs!
Run "screenfetch" in terminal if you're a linux user to get your specs.
I'll start by myself:
ps1:

- this is my secondary laptop that I carry around. I got it second hand for relatively cheap, while being in good shape, the battery is dead. #7 · tomasino · 2020-05-03 21:32:57

Filling some gaps manually, it's a macbook air with 8GB RAM, 256GB disk.
This machine is fast, and I was amazed that those 8GB RAM was... enough.
I have multiple docker containers, Safari with multiple tabs opened,
various programs open over 10 virtual desktops
and I can't notice this slowing down at any moment. It's insane.
Battery lasts for abour 30 hours with all those apps opened,
travelling with such a long battery feels just nice.
I never used Apple before, I don't know how those guys did that.
Before this you would see me using Regolith, or some distro with i3
on a quite modest laptop.
My PS1 is the zsh default, PS1="%n@%m %1~ %# "
Damn, I'll try all the PS1 posted so far, now I'm curious. haha #10 · theolodger · 2024-06-08 23:16:01
