I have a Thinkpad x220 and x230. The x230 I use on a daily basis. my Keyboard is a standard one from Dell maybe from stoneage, my mouse a Logitech MX518, which is probably now 8 years old. But my Monitor is a Dell Ultrasharp with 1920x1080p all connected to a dockingstaton. I can use my x230 and x220 both with the same dckingstation which is very convinient. I not only have the 2 thinkpads but also 2 dockingstation. if anything bites the dust I just have to switch. If a laptop bites the dust, I just rsync my ~/ and am almost ready to go again. I feel pretty good about having the tanks related to computerhardware, with a backup. I probably am able to go with this setup for another decade...

Been working from the laptop for about the last year. Prior to that, I was using the Kinesis keyboard with two Dell monitors on mounts.
Laptops are thinkpad T470p for work, x1 carbon 5th gen for personal.
